Dear Rashtrapati ji,

(105172514), with sincere regards and the last hope, writing this petition to you which is of vast importance to the 4000,000/ students studying in ‘Indira Gandhi National Open University’ in around 40 countries of the world. This issue is of extreme importance simply because of the reason that it is directly linked with the future and convenience of almost 4000,000/ students studying in I.G.N.O.U in around 40 countries of the world. I am mentioning below the content of my issue in a point wise manner with a prayer to save our academic future:-
1.)
That, I took admission in I.G.N.O.U in
June session of 2010 under Bachelor Degree Program, with enrollment no
(105172514).
2
.) That, I took admission in this university by getting attracted from the system of “ On-demand examination” which provided for a great convenience and a better option for the students to appear for the examination as per their convenience and preparation status. This system of examination used to provide that if the students thought that they are fully prepared to appear for the examination, they could opt for “ On-demand examination” by paying Rs. 100/- per subject, and they were allotted a date to sit in the examination within two weeks from the date of such application made by them online.

4.
) That, this system was also helpful in completing the course on time in the manner that if any student missed the regular examination conducted in June/December session of each year, he/she could choose the system of “On-demand examination” to appear for the exam he/she missed in the June/December and to complete his/her course on time.

) That, now the system of “On-demand examination” has been stopped by the university, since the tab “On-demand examination” on the website of the university (ignou.ac.in) is not working for the last 8 months which is reconfirmed by me by telephoning in the office of the university situated in Maidan Garhi, New Delhi.

.) That, the worst effect of stopping this system of examination is that many students like me are not able to complete their course on time leading to various tremendous academic problems.
